Candid, direct appeals make disparate ideas hang together

When it came time to follow-up on a series of two-character dialog scenes previously produced for this futures brokerage, we discovered along with the in-house creatives that many of the marketing statements they needed to make didn't fall together into natural-sounding dialog. So in contrast, we worked with them to create a campaign that used direct-address from four separate characters. By cutting between actors in different environments, the statements hold together without seeming like non-sequiturs. The script took on a testimonial quality, but also allowed us to be very technically specific about funds and trading platforms.

To make the budget work, we shot two spots in a single day in a Chicago home, dressing various sets to give the impression of multiple locations. Angle Park handled all aspects of casting, location, production, and post-production. Martin directed and shot the spots.
